Adam & Evil 10/30/02 |
God created Adam from dust
At this time there was no lust
Only good could come from such a thing
So into this world God did bring
A woman he made from Adam's rib
And gave them a garden in which to live
Beautiful plants and trees grew there
With all the fruit they could bare
God told them not to eat
Any fruit that wasn't sweet
You should only eat from the tree of life
If you eat the other you will surely die
A serpent soon came by
He convinced Eve it was all a lie
Eat the fruit he said and you will never be dead
She took a bite and then she knew
That all they had would soon be through
She really didn't know what else to do
So she had Adam to eat it too
He took a bite and knew right then
He could never face God again
Out of this garden you must go
From now on what you eat you must grow
And with a swipe from his mighty hand
He sent them out of this wonderful land
Eve gave birth to a baby named Cain
She asked God to bless him just the same
Not long after another came
So they decided Abel would be his name
When Cain killed Abel it all begin
The suffering of men living in sin
After it was over Adam said:
" I wish Evil was dead "

Peace Love Hate
11/21/02 |
I send you out dressed in fleece
Amidst the wolves seeking peace
With you there must be love
From the heart sent from above
There will be no worser fate
If you go heart filled with hate
With hate in the heart of man
No peace through out the land
To make the wolve's stop their hate
Good clean love is all it takes
With a heart filled with hate
Peace and love is not your fate
There could be peace in a glance
Just give love a fighting chance
Time can heal all sores
Love can stop wars
Peace can then rule the land
Hate has done all it can
Don't let hate make you tired and worn
Just close your eyes and be reborn
Fill your heart with unconditional love
Then peace you are assured of
There will be no room for hate
As you have sealed your fate
Show everyone you know
How fast love can grow
Let them know in your heart there is peace
And amidst the wolves you wear fleece
Don't be a lamb ready for slaughter
But make peace and love your altar
If you start again to feel hate
Remember your making your own fate
Peace Love or Hate before it's to late

Bread Of Life
12/09/02 |
Looking for the bread of life
Found it in my wife
Not just talking about her sweet rolls
Their good everybody knows
It's not just all in her head
She makes great bread
It's always nice and brown
Taste so good going down
But for a picnic it's a little tart
She makes it from the heart
When she makes it that way
Sticks to your ribs all day
Good for work or play
Made from love and a little dough
Makes a heart start to grow
Goes to the heart through the stomach
Sweet bread and plenty of it
Maybe I'll write a book
About all the things she can cook
I'll give it away for free
So everyone can be as happy as me
It want be all about cooking
It'll be for the ones that are looking
Trying to find a wife
To be their bread of life
I feel sorry for the rest
I've already found the best
Good bread and good love
All I ever dreamed of
My lover my wife
My bread of life

Poem Or Rhyme
12/24/02
 |
Do all poems rhyme
Not all the time
It's like a smiling face
That you seen someplace
Standing tall and proud
Way above the crowd
A poem should tell a story
It can be praising and talk of glory
It may speak of hate
Or even talk of fate
I'd rather hear a rhyme
Well most of the time
Sometimes it just rambles on
Many have become songs
The ones from the heart
Gave poetry it's start
The ones from the brain
They don't mean the same
So when you read a little poem
And your heart starts to warm
You'll know the words are true
You want be so blue
All down on yourself
Your love is all thats left
On that you can build
And if you have the will
You'll find the time
To write a little rhyme |

Looking In
01/02/03 |
Thinking that I was alone
Just relaxing at home
I felt a penetrating stare
As if someone else was there
I got up and looked around
But nothing I found
So I decided to read a book
And take one more look
And I felt it again
Like someone was looking in
Trying to read my mind
Looking to found
I don't know what
They can have what I've got
Just leave me alone
While I'm at home
It seemed as if my hair began to curl
I felt in peril
As I began to run
To retrieve my gun
A voice sunddenly rang out
Naturally I began to shout
What are you doing here
I said with fear
The voice then replied
You have died
That's a lie I said
How could I be dead
I have so much to do
My life cannot be through
Just give me one more chance
I'll change in a glance
I need a new start
So I can change my heart
I'm sorry friend
Not when death is looking in

Resolutions
01/04/03 |
Thinking about the past
Staring into my glass
Considering last years resolution
I look for a solution
Wondering what I can do
To carry this resolution through
Just want to loose a little weight
And rid my heart of hate
That shouldn't be to hard to do
After a year like 2002
I wonder if I'll do enough
This time I'm going to hang tough
At least that's what I say
We'll see after new years day
Well maybe I'll wait till June
That will be plenty soon
That will give me plenty of time
To trim my waist line
As long as I'm done by December
Nobody will remember
And the hate in my heart
Should be gone by March
At least by late September
Or early November
And if it is still in my heart
I'll wait to next year to start
So what's your resolution
Can you find the solution
Is it in your heart
To make a new start
I think if I try I can
Become a better man
I'll just have to wait and see
What this year will be
And find the solutions
To my Resolutions

While Children Play
01/12/03 |
Looking through the eyes of a child
I feel humble, meek, and mild
Seeing things as they do
Makes your life brand new
You start feeling young again
As you remember an old friend
How you use to play and fight
And dream of far away places all night
Remembering how simple life was
Having unconditional love
How you wanted to keep hush
About your first crush
Remember how akward you felt
The first hand you held
And got your first kiss
From a pretty little miss
Putting all that aside
What about the first time you lied
And if you were caught
The lesson you would be taught
Do you remember when
You betrayed a friend
Remember those teenage years
All your bravery and fears
Looking back I remember all the fun
But now it's better with my grandson
My granddaughters are also great
They have cured me of hate
Their the reason for this poem
They make my life so warm
And if I live to be old and gray
I know that I can truthly say
I'm in heaven while children play |

Someone Else's Treasure
01/15/03 |
Some people derive pleasure
From someone else's treasure
They'll do anything they can
To get it from your hand
They must fill their need
When they feel their greed
They can't get enough
Of other peoples stuff
When they see your new toy
It brings them no joy
Only jealously is what they feel
Then their ready to steal
They'll call you friend and honey
All the time wanting to steal your money
Trying to see what they can do
To get it from you
Not caring about your life
They covet your husband or wife
With all their dirty dealing
And all their petty stealing
Their just digging a hole
For their lost soul
Then there are those who measure
A person by the size of their treasure
If you have no money
Your not their honey
Without a fine house
Your just a mouse
They'll think of you as trash
If you have no cash
For those of us who don't feel greed
We will never feel the need
To seek pleasure
Nor will we ever measure
Someone else's treasure

Dot Com
01/20/03 |
While surfing the web one night
I found a wonderful poetry site
There were poems of every kind
Some from the heart some from the mind
Poems about love and suicide
Poems that can make a grown man cry
Written by Peggy, Betty and Michelle
Whose poems and rhymes read so well
New poets like Simon
Doing a great job with his rhyming
And all the others who feel the need
To write great poetry for all to read
Another thing I like best
There is no need for a contest
Poems are written to be read
Even while lying in bed
To all the residents at this site
Keep on writing day and night
For I will always have the need
To find great poetry and read and read
The best thing since my prom
Is reading poetry at Purple Dream dot com

The Mirror
01/23/03 |
In her eyes there was no twinkle
For she had just noticed a new wrinkle
If you could only hear her
As she looks in the mirror
Thinking her story will never be told
She is starting to feel old
She has asked for just one gift
Please get me a face lift
I told her she was the real deal
And your just as young as you feel
But that wasn't enough
So I called her bluff
We got an appointment with doc shift
And she received her face lift
And just for luck
He through in a tummy tuck
And before he was done
He enlarged her breasts just for fun
Now I'll have to say
She looks better that way
But when she looked in the mirror
It couldn't have been clearer
She was sorry for what she done
And this was not going to be all fun
For she realized she was the same person
And the mirror she began cursing
Gone was the wrinkle
But still no twinkle
Mirror you can not feel my hunger
I feel no younger
Mirror mirror on the wall
You set me up after all
Made me look at my skin
Forgetting what was within
Because with age comes a certain beauty
Now I'm like a teenage cutie
She now sees a whole lot clearer
Thanks to the mirror
